Russia opens criminal case on terrorist attack after shooting at Crocus City Hall

A criminal case has been opened in the Moscow region on a terrorist attack in connection with the emergency at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, TASS reports, citing the official channel of the Russian's Investigative Committee.

“The Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case regarding a terrorist attack in the Moscow region. Based on the incident in the Crocus City Hall concert hall, the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act),” says the Sledkom telegram channel.

An investigative team from the central office of the Russian Investigative Committee went to the scene of the incident.

A shooting occurred in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region. The roof of the building later caught fire. Deaths and injuries are reported. Ambulance crews are working at the scene. The Siren plan has been introduced in Moscow.
