The Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) has hosted a high-level conference under the theme “Friends of Western Balkans & Nizami Ganjavi International Center” in Slovenia’s capital, the city of Ljubljana.
The event saw discussions on the upcoming 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan this year, the political and security developments in the Western Balkans and other topics.
Former Slovenian President Borut Pahor, former Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, former Serbian President Boris Tadić, President of the 75th Session of UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkir, President of the 67th Session of UN General Assembly Vuk Jeremić, former Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, former Bosnian President Mladen Ivanic, former Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic, as well as other former and current high-level officials.
President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar also met with the participants on the sidelines of the event. “The Magic of the Pen Select Miniatures from the Khamsa of Nizami Ganjavi” book published at the initiative of the Center was presented to the President of Slovenia.
