Azerbaijan, Ukraine discuss topical issues on current agenda of cooperation

Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, met with Olena Kondratyuk, Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, who is visiting the country to participate in the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.

The discussions during the meeting centered around topical issues on the agenda of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as the regional and international security issues of mutual interest.

Highlighting the contribution of close contacts to cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov mentioned the key role of the relations of parliament members in evolving the partnership.

The parties commended the constant support for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty demonstrated within all platforms, and emphasized the significance of the mechanism of political consultations in further developing relations between the two countries.

FM Bayramov shed light on the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, regional peace and ongoing construction efforts.

The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's approach to international legal norms, especially the principle of territorial integrity, as well as the humanitarian support provided. The pair expressed hope for further development of the strategic partnership relations.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
