President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva inspected the ongoing restoration work at the Uzeyir Hajibeyli House Museum in Shusha.
The head of state was briefed on the progress of the restoration project.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is continuing the restoration work at the Uzeyir Hajibeyli House Museum in Shusha. The house was originally built in the 19th century and functioned as a house museum from 1959 until Shusha's occupation. Only 136 out of 1,700 exhibits related to the life and work of the famous composer survived the occupation; the rest were destroyed by Armenian forces.
Once the restoration work, which began in 2022, is completed, the museum will feature an exhibition.
