President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed the law “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Education”, AzVision.az reports.
The amendments have been prepared to improve normative legal acts in the field of payment for paid training in educational institutions for a number of persons with special needs in social protection at the expense of the state budget.
According to the document, as a new benefit, it is determined that during the period of tuition on a paid basis, family members of martyrs studying in private higher, secondary specialized, and vocational educational institutions, persons who have received the title of "War Veteran" studying in vocational educational institutions, as well as persons studying in private vocational educational institutions with disabilities, under the age of 20, with an established disability due to 81–100 percent impairment of bodily functions, having parents, and having a monthly income below the subsistence minimum, tuition fees will be paid from the state budget.
To note, the draft amendment to the Law "On Education" was adopted at the session of the Azerbaijani Parliament on May 7.
