Conference attendees view mine action process in Azerbaijan

Participants of the 3rd International Conference on Humanitarian Demining have viewed mine action processes in Azerbaijan's liberated Zangilan, AzVision.az reports.

They were briefed on the current humanitarian mine clearance operations and demonstrated the process of clearing a mine.

To note, the III International Conference on Humanitarian Demining on the theme "Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for a Safe and Green Future" was launched in Zangilan under the joint organization of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The conference has received much attention from the international community. More than 300 delegates from 75 countries are taking part in the III International Humanitarian Demining Conference organized by Azerbaijan. Among the participants are high-ranking officials from many countries, senior staff of the UN Head Office, representatives of authoritative international organizations, officials of demining centers of various countries, as well as officials of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan.
