Azerbaijan's Armed Forces Day celebrated at NATO headquarters

The 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan-NATO partnership and the 106th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces' establishment have been celebrated at the NATO head office.

The celebration brought together a distinguished assembly of diplomatic and military figures, Azerbaijan's representation at NATO told AzVision.az.

The event was attended by the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, the Deputy Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, high-ranking officials from the Alliance's International Staff, International Military Staff, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), NATO Support and Procurement Agency, as well as ambassadors and military representatives from NATO member countries and partners, including members of the diplomatic corps.

Jafar Huseynzada, head of Azerbaijan's mission to NATO, delivered a keynote speech highlighting the historical contributions of Azerbaijan's national leader, Heydar Aliyev. Huseynzada emphasized Aliyev's crucial role in building the country's army and fostering partnership with NATO.

The event also featured addresses by Javier Colomina, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, and Lieutenant General Andrew Rollings, Deputy Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
