Armenia seeks full diplomatic relations, border opening with Türkiye - Armenian FM

Armenia is prepared for a complete settlement of relations with Türkiye, including the establishment of diplomatic ties and the opening of the state border.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made these remarks during a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart Ilya Darchiashvili in Tbilisi stressing that a healthy dialogue between the two countries is already in place, AzVision.az reports citing Armenian media.

"It is time to put the agreements reached between Yerevan and Ankara into practice," Mirzoyan stated.

He emphasized that Armenia is committed to settling relations with its neighbours and is taking practical steps in this direction.

In this context, Mirzoyan also discussed Yerevan's position on concluding a peace agreement with Baku, noting that Armenia considers it realistic to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan within a month.

He reiterated that Yerevan continues to believe in the emergence of a historic opportunity for establishing peace and stability in the region.
