The meeting focused on the progress of the centre's development, the mine threat in Azerbaijan's recently liberated territories, and expanding cooperation to address these issues. The discussion also covered other mutual interests, ANAMA told AzVision.az. 

Demining operations involve a collaborative effort among ANAMA, the Defence Ministry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the State Border Guard Service.

ANAMA’s ongoing efforts underscore Azerbaijan’s dedication to post-conflict reconstruction and humanitarian relief in conflict-affected districts. By systematically clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance, Azerbaijan aims to establish safe conditions that will allow displaced communities to return to their homes.

These successful demining operations highlight the commitment and effectiveness of ANAMA and its partners in addressing the dangers posed by explosive remnants of war and advancing recovery and development in the liberated territories.

Following the liberation of Azerbaijani regions from Armenian occupation, reports have revealed that Armenia deliberately planted landmines in these areas as part of its military strategy. These landmines, designed to harm civilians and hinder the return of displaced people, present a significant threat to the safety and security of the region.
