In the 1/8 finals of the competition at the Olympic Games in Paris, Azerbaijani athlete Eljan Hajiyev got injured during a bout with French athlete Maxime-Gaël Ngayap Hambou, the Azerbaijan Judo Federation reported.
According to the information, the preliminary examination revealed a fracture in the shoulder area.
"More detailed and accurate information about his condition will be available after magnetic resonance imaging. We wish Eljan Hajiyev a speedy recovery!" the federation stated.
