  Azerbaijan to open 54 polling spots in liberated lands for snap parliamentary elections

Chairman of Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov has said that fifty-four polling stations will operate during the snap parliamentary elections in the liberated territories.

He said that 34 of these polling stations will be permanent and 20 will be temporary, i.e. five-day polling stations, AzVision.az reports citing the local media. 

As of August 15, about 80,000 local observers have been registered to monitor the course of the elections to be held on September 1.

Panahov went on to say that a total of 100,000 local observers are expected to monitor the elections.

About 300 international observers have been registered so far, he added.
