It is impossible to speak optimistically as it is only the first meeting, former Azerbaijan national team footballer Jeyhun Sultanov said, AzVision.az reports citing Idman.biz.
He assessed the upcoming bout between Azerbaijani Zira and Cypriot Omonia within the first games of the playoff stage of the Conference League. Sultanov stated that Rashad Sadikhov's team will achieve a good result in today's match.
“In my opinion, the fate of the confrontation will be decided in Baku. I believe that the main desire of Rashad Sadikhov is to achieve a good result and put a point in Baku. Judging by the last games of Zira, it seems that the team began to play better. I would like to see at least a draw in the first match,” he added.
The match between Omonia and Zira will be held in Cyprus on August 22 at 21:00 Baku time.
