  IAEA chief arrives in Kurchatov to assess Kursk NPP safety

Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), arrived in the city of Kurchatov for a visit to evaluate the situation at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

The Russian side at the meeting is represented by Igor Korpunkov, the head of Kurchatov, and Alexander Uvakin, the director of the Kursk NPP. Grossi plans to discuss the shelling problem with the plant's management and analyze steps to ensure nuclear safety at the facility, AzVision.az reports citing Interfax. 

He also intends to examine the issue of external power supply to the plant.

After concluding his visit to the Kursk NPP, Grossi is set to travel to Kyiv, where he plans to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
