Hajiyev wrote in response to EU Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Peter Stano’s remarks that the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan took place within a restrictive political and legal environment, devoid of competition, Caliber.Az reports.
“Such a subjective claim and biased political consideration by the EU spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy repeating preset negative attitude by OSCE/ODIHR towards the elections in Azerbaijan is null and void. Elections took place in complete accordance with the Constitution of the country and its national laws,” Hajizada wrote on X.
He also urged the EU to refrain from interfering in Azerbaijan's internal affairs.
"We call on the representatives of the European External Action Service to understand that their attempts to meddle in Azerbaijan's internal matters are doomed to fail. It would be more prudent for them to focus on addressing the internal issues of certain EU member states," Hajizada added.
Such a subjective claim & biased political consideration by @ExtSpoxEU repeating preset negative attitude by @osce_odihr towards the elections in #Azerbaijan is null and void.
