Shah Deniz-2 to solve gas supply problems
Shah Deniz-2 will benefit European Union countries to a greater degree.
It was announced by Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz at a ceremony of singing a final investment decision on Shah Deniz Stage 2 in Baku today.

This will bring durability to participant countries as well as countries in the region, the minister said.

“This will not only be linked with economy. This project aims to meet gas needs of not only Turkey, but also European Union countries. There were Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines earlier. But they were not enough. This project will address gas supply problems.”

Turkey supports such a regional cooperation and will continue to participate in such projects, Yildiz added.
