Western Azerbaijan Community urges US to abandon its policy of blackmail against Azerbaijan

The Western Azerbaijan Community has strongly condemned the position of the United States towards Azerbaijan.

It was noted that a group of US Congressmen addressed a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on October 3, 2024, expressing an unacceptable stance against Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports, citing the Community's press service.

The community notes that the congressmen use Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference, to push Armenia's agenda, which allegedly aims to create conflict in the region.

The community said in its statement that the congressmen's demands, including the release of individuals responsible for war crimes, are a clear blackmail and contradict international law.

The Western Azerbaijan Community has called upon the United States to cease its policy of blackmail and racial discrimination against Azerbaijan. They urge the US to stop attempting to instigate a new conflict in the region and to respect the right of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to return to their homes.
