Azerbaijan is confidently developing and moving forward under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the general director of the Caspian Institute for Strategic Studies (Russia) Igor Korotchenko told journalists in Moscow.
Among all the post-Soviet states, we can unequivocally state that Azerbaijan has advanced to the position of Russia's strategic partner in recent years. First of all, the country has restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty and is confidently developing and moving forward.
Most importantly, as Korotchenko noted, there is trust, honesty, and reliability between the presidents of the two countries.
“Presidents, and therefore states, can trust each other,” he added.
