Azerbaijani judoka Mahammad Rustamli delivered an outstanding performance earning his country’s first gold medal on the first day of the ISF Gymnasiade 2024 in Manama, Bahrain.
Competing in the 50kg weight class, Rustamli secured victory by defeating his fellow countryman Anar Guliyev in the final match with an ippon.
Another judoka Rustam Gasimzade won a bronze medal of the competition.
