The event "Azerbaijan-NATO Roundtable on Energy Security and Climate Change" is taking place as part of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan's accession to NATO's Partnership for Peace Framework Document in Baku, AzVision.az reports.
The roundtable features a representative from NATO's Climate and Energy Security Sector within the Innovation, Hybrid, and Cyber Security Division, as well as experts and representatives from academia in member and partner countries, including relevant institutions from Azerbaijan.
Moreover, the event will be a melting pot of ideas regarding energy security matters and Azerbaijan's part in the grand scheme of Europe's energy safety. It will also shine a light on potential threats and risks to vital energy infrastructure and how to safeguard it, along with the intricate dance between climate change and energy security.
The roundtable particularly emphasizes Azerbaijan's role as a reliable energy partner and supplier, as well as its efforts in combating climate change and transitioning to green energy, including the importance of hosting COP29 in Baku.
