Pakistan`s Islamabad hosts PreCOP29 Dialogue

Pre COP29 Dialogue: From Dubai to Baku was held in Pakistani capital Islamabad on Monday. Coordinator to Pakistani Prime Minister on Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Representative Pakistan, Samuel Rizk and climate experts talked about the climate change and its global impacts. The speakers including Federal and Provincial government officials during the dialogue talked about various aspects of National and subnational perspective from Pakistan. They emphasised about the positive outcome of the COP29 to be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan next month.

The speakers said that despite part of less than 0.7 percent in the global emission by the country, Pakistan is among the 10 most vulnerable countries who have suffered alot due to global climate and environment change.

They said that adaptation and mitigation is key to resolve and overcome the climate change challenge at the global level.
