Baku Stadium hosts information tours for diplomatic missions and advanced teams

Since October 28, the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company - established to organize the UNFCCC COP29 - has launched information tours for heads of accredited diplomatic missions, international organizations, and advanced teams from visiting delegations. These tours provided insights into the conference preparations.

Representatives from nearly 50 countries, including approximately 100 from diplomatic missions and over 100 advanced team members and liaison officers, participated in information tours of Baku Stadium (the COP29 venue) and Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

The tour included briefings on the venue’s Blue and Green Zones, showcasing facilities for VIPs and guests. Participants also viewed plenary halls, the Media Centre, negotiation rooms, country pavilions, and the Accreditation Centre. They also received a briefing on airport operations and security measures for COP29.

Participants in the information tours commended the significant progress made in preparing for COP29 and expressed confidence in its success as a leading global climate event.
