On November 14, 2024, the Ministerial Forum on Green Good Governance will be held in Baku within the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29.
The event, which will take place in the Blue Zone at the Baku Olympic Stadium, will be organized jointly by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), and Apolitical Group Limited.
The Ministerial Forum on Green Good Governance will bring together representatives of governments, international organizations, leading experts, and academia to promote interactive dialogue and collaboration. The discussions will serve as a platform for sharing best practices, innovations, and strategies for transforming public services toward green governance and climate goals.
The forum will highlight how Azerbaijan's innovative models, such as the "ASAN Service" model, can contribute to sustainable infrastructure, the promotion of inclusivity, and international cooperation to address climate change. The importance of international collaboration in expanding green technologies, advancing good governance, and adapting public services to environmental and social sustainability will also be a focal point.
The event will feature the participation of leaders from relevant ministries from around 20 countries, representatives from 7 international organizations, as well as delegates from various companies and research institutions.
