Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy had a working lunch with Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies as part of COP29.
They exchanged views on the efforts of industry leaders to reduce methane emissions, ways to leverage Azerbaijan’s potential in the area.
They also talked about Total Energies' renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan.
Patrick Pouyanné affirmed the company’s interest in participating in renewable energy projects in the Caspian region.
The meeting included discussions on expansion of cooperation to intensively promote green energy in Azerbaijan.
