On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Kingdom of Cambodia, the embassies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan accredited in Vietnam, as well as in Cambodia, arranged an official reception in the capital city of Phnom Penh.
The event organized with the support of the Embassy of Türkiye in Cambodia, began with a live performance of the national anthems of all three countries.
Addressing the event, Shovgi Mehdizade, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Cambodia, highlighted the history of 30-year-long relationship between the two countries, emphasizing the development of relations in many areas.
Speaking about bilateral relations, Kazakh Ambassador to the Kingdom Kanat Tumysh emphasized the importance of launching direct flights from Kazakhstan to Cambodia.
Khuon Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, who attended the event as an honorary guest, conveyed his congratulations on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Cambodian and Azerbaijani songs were performed, and dishes of Azerbaijani national cuisine were presented.
The event was also attended by Cambodian Minister of Tourism Huot Hak, heads and employees of many public institutions, Cambodians who have studied in Azerbaijan, media representatives, as well as Azerbaijani and Kazakh citizens living in Cambodia.
