Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Georgia hold another round of consular consultations

The Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Georgia held another round of consular consultations in Tbilisi on December 2.

According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department, while Giorgi Tabatadze, Director of the Consular Department, represented Georgia.

The consultations included discussions on the current state and future prospects of consular cooperation between the two countries, including the signing of bilateral agreements in this area.

Both sides exchanged views on protecting the rights and freedoms of their citizens and providing consular assistance to address existing challenges. They agreed to intensify cooperation to overcome difficulties in these areas.

The parties also explored cooperation in justice, migration, education, humanitarian, social protection and other pivotal domains. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in boosting relations in these areas.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a protocol by the heads of both delegations.
