“The operation of the Azerbaijani embassy in Syria will be restored as soon as possible,” said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The minister noted that Azerbaijan has not had any diplomatic activity in Syria since 2012, adding: “However, recently, an Azerbaijani delegation visited Syria and held meetings with Syria's foreign minister and other relevant officials. During these meetings, Azerbaijan expressed its intention to restore its diplomatic mission there.”
