Georgian, Armenian PMs meet in Yerevan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan, AzVision.az reports, citing the Government Administration of Georgia.

The sides emphasized the importance of strategic partnership between the countries and exchanged views on issues to be discussed within the framework of the 14th session of the Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission.

They also mulled the current situation in the region and the progress of the peace process.

Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed the Georgian government's readiness to support dialogue and contribute to ensuring stability and peace in the region, as an important factor for the sustainable development of the countries.

The sides noted that the next session of the intergovernmental economic commission would enable the expansion of existing trade and economic relations between the two countries and full utilization of potential in this area.

Kobakhidze invited his Armenian counterpart for an official visit to Georgia.
