Farid Shafiyev: Azerbaijan is not an initiator of tense relationships with France

Azerbaijan is currently experiencing a crisis in its relations with France. Although France initiated this crisis, economic and energy cooperation between the two countries continues, said Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Center for the Analysis of International Relations (CAIR) as he addressed the international conference entitled "France and the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict".

He emphasized that the Armenian factor in France has played a key role in escalating tensions, stressing that Azerbaijan was not the initiator.

Shafiyev also noted that despite the strained relations, Azerbaijan maintains a neutral attitude toward French culture and language.
