Retirement pensions to be indexed in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the “Indexing of Retirement Pensions.”

The order instructs the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population to index retirement pensions by January 1, 2025, in accordance with the annual growth rate of the average monthly nominal salary as determined by the State Statistical Committee for 2024, AzVision.az reports.

The Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with addressing any issues arising from this Order.

The changes will take effect starting January 1, 2025.
