During the meeting, the sides hailed the trust-based friendly relations between the two nations and countries.
The two emphasized the pivotal role of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus in the development of relations between the two countries.
They also stressed the vital role of the legislative authorities in the development of bilateral relations.
Recalling her official visit to Belarus, Sahiba Gafarova also underscored the close contacts between the two countries’ Speakers and MPs. She noted that the two countries’ legislative authorities successfully cooperate both bilaterally and within the international parliamentary organizations.
Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament wished the ambassador success in his future diplomatic activities.
Expressing his honor at being appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Dmitry Pinevich thanked for hospitality and attention, adding that he would spare no effort to contribute to further expansion of the relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
The meeting also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
