As part of his working visit to Tehran, Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, met with Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Ali Asadov conveyed greetings from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The discussion focused on enhancing Azerbaijani-Iranian relations, rooted in the principles of friendship and good neighborliness, and enriching mutually beneficial cooperation with new content. The sides also reviewed the implementation of projects between Azerbaijan and Iran in the transport, energy, and oil and gas sectors.
Emphasizing the importance of the 3rd Caspian Economic Forum, the Azerbaijani Prime Minister noted that Azerbaijan views the Caspian as a sea of peace, harmony, and effective international cooperation.
In light of the new realities in the region, the meeting also addressed other relevant topics of mutual interest.
