Members of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center participated in the 61st Munich Security Conference. The delegation included María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, President of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, Boris Tadić, former President of Serbia, Tzipi Livni, former Prime Minister of Israel, Amr Moussa, former Secretary General of the Arab League, Eka Tkeshelashvili, former Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Secretary General of the Center Rovshan Muradov, and Senior Advisor Rza Aliyev.
On the sidelines of the conference, they held a number of high-level meetings with heads of state and government, as well as leaders of international organizations participating in the conference. These included Moldovan President Maia Sandu, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev, International Energy Agency Director-General Fatih Birol, UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner, former Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, and heads of other UN organizations.
The meetings discussed global challenges, international security issues, and sustainable development prospects.
The three-day conference brought together more than 60 heads of state and government worldwide to debate on global challenges and explore prospects.
