As a significant platform for parliamentary diplomacy uniting the parliaments of Asia, the APA not only facilitates such events but also fosters discussions and dialogue between the legislative bodies of its member states.
It should be mentioned that several high-ranking parliamentary officials have already arrived in Baku to participate in the event. These include Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Puan Maharani; Speaker of the Consultative Council of the Sultanate of Oman Khalid Hilal Nasir Al Maawali; Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova; Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva; Speaker of the Consultative Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain Ali Saleh Abdullah Al-Saleh; Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan Lungten Dorji; Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf; Speaker of the Senate of Pakistan Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani; and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda
Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has had meetings on the margins of the event with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Puan Maharani, Speaker of the Consultative Council of the Sultanate of Oman Khalid Hilal Nasir Al Maawali and Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova. Further meetings of the Speaker with other Presidents of Parliament attending the event are planned to take place as well.
