On March 10, Prime Minister Ali Asadov presided over a meeting of Azerbaijan’s Economic Council.
The meeting's agenda covered several key topics, including the "Action Plan for the Development of the Agricultural Insurance System," designed to enhance the agricultural insurance framework and establish a new concept. Discussions also focused on macroeconomic and financial stability, key outcomes of monetary policy for 2024, and trends in the banking and insurance sectors. Additionally, the 2024 report on the monitoring and evaluation results of the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022-2026" and the Action Plan for the "First State Program on Great Return to the Liberated Territories" were reviewed.
Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President, Taleh Kazimov, Chairperson of the Central Bank, and Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, all addressed the meeting. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, presented a report on the agricultural insurance system.
At the end of the meeting, decisions were made on the discussed issues, with instructions given to the relevant authorities.
