Life is returning to Khojaly’s Ballija village, as former residents—once displaced—now celebrate holidays in their homeland once again.
Today, locals in Khojaly city and Ballija village lit the traditional Wind Tuesday bonfire, marking an important part of the Novruz celebrations. The event was filled with festive spirit, as residents danced to traditional music and performed the yalli dance around the roaring flames.
According to official figures, 52 families have settled in Khojaly city, while 112 families now reside in Ballija village, continuing the revival of life in the liberated region.
