“To prevent deep divisions, solutions to challenges must be universal. The forum must address conflicting issues,” stated Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the panel session titled “Reimagining Multilateralism for a Multipolar World” at the 12th Global Baku Forum.
The Foreign Minister emphasized Azerbaijan’s support for this concept during its COP29 presidency, adding: “Commitment to multilateralism is one of our primary goals. Transparency in relations between governments and their neighbors is also crucial for us.”
He further highlighted the growing challenges in managing borders peacefully, preventing new arms races, ceasing violent conflicts both within and between states, ensuring inclusive economic development, and engaging in cooperative trade processes, such as those related to climate change.
