In accordance with the action plan approved by Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, a series of events were held to mark the Novruz holiday across various branches of the armed forces, including the types of troops, the Combined Arms Army, army corps, formations, and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army.

During the events, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Motherland was honored with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed by a military orchestra.

Speakers at the festive gatherings highlighted the joyful and solemn celebration of spring in Azerbaijan, spoke about the history of Novruz traditions, and emphasized the country’s national and spiritual values.

During events held in military units stationed in the liberated territories and other areas, the congratulations of the President and the Defense Minister were conveyed to servicemen, reinforcing national and spiritual values and further enhancing their fighting spirit and patriotism.

As part of the celebrations, concert programs featuring performances by the Separate Exemplary Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense, the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center, and regional cultural departments were presented. Servicemen who demonstrated outstanding performance in military service were awarded.

Additionally, military personnel visited the graves of martyrs, met with their families, inquired about their concerns, and presented holiday gifts.

During these meetings, it was emphasized that the Azerbaijani state always honors the memory of its martyrs and provides great attention and care to their families.
