An Air Astana Airbus A321, operating a flight from Tbilisi to Almaty, requested an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
The request was made due to a passenger experiencing a sudden and severe health issue.
Upon receiving the request, the airport's crisis management team was immediately activated. Ground services were rapidly coordinated, and all necessary safety protocols were implemented. The aircraft landed successfully at 00:25 local time.
The passenger received immediate medical attention and was transferred to an ambulance for further evaluation and transport to a city hospital.
Subsequently, Air Astana decided to postpone the flight's departure. The remaining passengers were provided with hotel accommodations.
