Heydar Aliyev Foundation's representative office arranges Iftar ceremony in Moscow

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Russian representative office has organized an Iftar ceremony in the capital city of Moscow.

The ceremony, held traditionally as part of the "Month of Ramadan" project in the Russian capital, brought together representatives of the public and diplomatic corps, as well as scientists and cultural figures.

Addressing the ceremony, Tamilla Ahmadova, Head of the Humanitarian Programs Department of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Russian representative office, expressed her gratitude to the participants for attending the Iftar party organized at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice-President of the Foundation. Ahmadova highlighted the virtues and blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, drawing attention to the religious tolerance and interfaith harmony in Azerbaijan.

Tamilla Ahmadova emphasized that under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, Azerbaijan has become not only the political and economic leader of the region, but also an important center of intercultural and interfaith dialogue.

She also touched upon the Karabakh issue, which has always been Azerbaijan’s most painful problem, as well as the important issue for its people, saying that this problem has been resolved thanks to the wise leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. “The Heydar Aliyev Foundation carries out an extensive work to support the low-income families, homeless, and those in need of assistance, and all this is a small part of the Foundation's activities implemented under the supervision of First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva,” Ahmadova underlined.

In his remarks, Nazim Ismayilzade, Deputy Director of the Foundation's Russia Office, highlighted the spiritual importance of the month of Ramadan, noting that this is month of spiritual cleansing and purification, calling people to do charitable and good deeds, and support each other.

Ismayil Asadov, Advisor to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation, stressed the important role of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well as its representative office in Russia, in enhancing relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. He also highlighted the projects implemented by the Foundation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres, which contributed to the promotion of Azerbaijani culture. Asadov stated that hosting an Iftar ceremony in Moscow during the holy month of Ramadan has become a wonderful tradition reflecting the spirit of kindness, mutual assistance and unity.

Anas Hazrat Mammadov, the Director of the Muslim school in Moscow, also addressed the event.

The Iftar ceremony featured performances by the Buta Trio ensemble, which created a festive mood and an atmosphere of spiritual harmony.
