Special police staff neutralizes shooter in Russia

Special police in Murmansk neutralized a man firing from a building’s roof in the northwest Russian city, the press service of the Russian Federal National Guards Service said, AzVision.az reports, citing TASS.

The man that earlier went on a shooting spree from atop a 14-story building was neutralized during an assault, the press service said.

No one was injured in the incident, emergency services told TASS.

"The attacker acted alone, and he has been wounded," they shared.

The attacker was identified as a Murmansk resident, born in 1981, the Russian Investigative Committee’s department in Northwest Russia said.
Two guns were confiscated from the scene. A probe into an attempted attack on law enforcement agents has been launched.
