Azerbaijan, Moldova discuss energy trade and cooperation

Azerbaijan and Moldova have engaged in discussions on the trade of oil, gas, and petroleum products, alongside renewable energy, decarbonization, and other areas of mutual interest, AzVision.az reports citing the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

The discussions took place during a meeting between the SOCAR President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Rovshan Najaf, and Moldova's Development, Vladimir Bolea, who also serves as the Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Moldova Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between SOCAR and Moldovan energy companies and explored opportunities to strengthen their partnership.

During the meeting, participants emphasized Azerbaijan's key role in ensuring Europe's energy security and the significance of regional cooperation in gas supply.
