Tbilisi hosts historic trilateral meeting of Georgian, Azerbaijani and Armenian FMs

At the initiative of Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan, Maka Botchorishvili of Georgia, and Ararat Mirzoyan of Armenia, a landmark trilateral meeting took place in Tbilisi between deputy foreign ministers from the three South Caucasus nations.

Deputy Foreign Ministers Elnur Mammadov (Azerbaijan), Lasha Darsalia (Georgia), and Vahan Kostanyan (Armenia) attended the meeting, welcoming this first-of-its-kind dialogue as a significant step toward fostering regional cooperation. The diplomats emphasized that the full potential for collaboration—based on mutual respect for each country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty—remains largely untapped.

The talks focused on exploring avenues for trilateral cooperation in areas of shared interest, aiming to boost sustainable development, economic growth, and long-term peace in the region. Participants underlined that such cooperation could play a key role in addressing common challenges and promoting stability across the South Caucasus.

Held in a spirit of openness and mutual respect, the meeting was described as a constructive first step toward building trust and enhancing dialogue at a higher level.
