Samir Sharifov: Some tax concessions may be limited or cancelled
Some concessions imposed on tax and customs payments for several spheres of Azerbaijan’s economy may be limited or completely cancelled, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov made the remarks during the discussion of draft state budget for 2016 conducted by the committees of Economic Policy, Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Energy, Social Policy, Security and Defence of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

“In 2016 and the next three years, we plan to increase the share of non-oil revenues in budget receipts, gradually reduce transfers from State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan to the state budget, limit of cancel some concessions imposed on tax and customs payments for several spheres of Azerbaijan’s economy, as well as simplify taxes for catering, trade, construction sectors, and existing taxes and increase the state budget incomes by providing additional support to the business development. These will be measures included in the key priorities of budget-fiscal policy. At the same time, privatization of state property, taking additional measures through increase of state budget receipts will support conduction of policy set for the state budget incomes”, the minister said.
