Turkish & Azerbaijani Diasporas hold peaceful rally in Washington D.C. against myth of "Armenian genocide"

In response to the Armenian diaspora’s march regarding the so-called "Armenian genocide," members of the Turkish and Azerbaijani diasporas held a peaceful rally in Washington D.C., in front of Sheridan Circle.

The rally brought together hundreds of diaspora representatives from various U.S. states. Participants raised the flags of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and other Turkic-speaking countries, displayed photographs of diplomats and their families who were victims of terrorism, and condemned terrorist attacks targeting Turkish and Azerbaijani people.

They emphasized that both Turkish and Azerbaijani peoples strive for peace, and that the events of 1915 should be evaluated by historians, not politicians.

In the evening, as the Armenian diaspora passed by the embassies of Azerbaijan and Türkiye en route to the White House via Sheridan Circle, rally participants chanted slogans in protest.
