The event was organized by the Azerbaijani-American Youth Federation and the Azerbaijani-New York Association with the support of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN.
The ceremony was attended by activists of the Azerbaijani diaspora from New York and the surrounding states, students, and diplomats of the Azerbaijani permanent mission.
The Azerbaijani tricolor was raised to the sounds of the national anthem on a huge flagpole in Bowling Green park on Wall Street, which is one of the symbols and the financial center of New York.
Then dances were performed to Azerbaijani music, and the event aroused great interest among tourists.
