Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with U.S delegation led by Joshua Huck, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
The meeting addressed a range of bilateral and multilateral issues, including the current status of normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The parties highlighted the significance of historical relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in a number of spheres, energy security and mutually beneficial cooperation in numerous other areas, underscoring the importance of advancing bilateral ties within the framework of mutual interests.
The sides also reviewed the regional energy infrastructure, alternative energy initiatives, and prospects for transport and communication links, along with joint cooperation activities with Central Asia.
FM Bayramov provided an overview of the post-conflict developments in the region, the current state of peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the challenges that continue to impede progress.
The meeting also addressed regional issues of mutual interest.
