Azerbaijani president receives outgoing French ambassador
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Pascal Meunier of France as he ends his diplomatic mission in the country.

Pascal Meunier said he is departing from our country and people with good impressions, noting that he will spare no efforts for the expansion of bilateral relations in his future activity.

The ambassador stressed that friendly relations between France and Azerbaijan have strengthened thanks to support from Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan’s first lady and president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

President Ilham Aliyev noted the ambassador’s contributions to the deepening of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and France, saying cooperation between the two countries was established at the highest level. The head of state outlined the importance of high level mutual interests and the role of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in this respect in further strengthening of bilateral relations, expressing satisfaction with relations covering a variety of areas and with cooperation turning into strategic partnership in spheres such as energy, technology, business, culture, etc.

The head of state wished the ambassador success in his future activity.
