The main objective of the memorandum is to promote the exchange of experience and information between institutions in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, to strengthen institutional cooperation, as well as to conduct awareness-raising activities in areas of mutual interest.
Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva noted that the signed Memorandum of Understanding would help further strengthen cooperation between the ombudsman institutions of both countries and would foster more effective protection of human rights and freedoms.
