“Mining surveys in Nakhchivan will be conducted in compliance with international standards, and a report will be prepared based on the results of the surveys,” Abdullah Tancan, Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources told journalists in Nakhchivan.
The Deputy Minister noted that if the report pinpoints an economically advantageous mining area, the local ministry will discuss and assess the guidelines for its development.
"Turkish businessmen are also ready, if necessary, to come to Nakhchivan and closely support the process. This is among the upcoming issues. Both we and the specialists operating here can lead this process. Currently, the main goal is to explore the mining areas and prepare their reports, which was the key topic of today's discussion," Abdullah Tancan added.
