The U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan has welcomed the agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia, AzVision.az reports, citing the statement of the U.S. Embassy.
"The United States welcomes the historic peace agreement signed today between Armenia and Azerbaijan. President Trump brought the parties together to mediate this agreement, which puts an end to a decades-long conflict.
This is a significant step forward for both countries and a great opportunity to realize the economic potential of the South Caucasus. This opportunity will bring new trade relations and prosperity to the American people, as well as to both Armenia and Azerbaijan. We congratulate both countries as they embark on a new era of peace," the statement noted.
